1.   A mile past the interstate, the river bends sharply to the right and there it is, a sandy bluff.

2.   Burrowing parrots, large green and yellow birds that lived in holes they scratched in a sandy bluff, made a tremendous clatter as we rode up.

3.   Just below the beautiful old steeple of Mount Loretta, there are high sandy bluffs with a line of trees along the ridge.

4.   Postma said that his workers removed the trees partly because he believed long grass would be more effective in stopping further erosion of the sandy bluffs.
