1.   For many mammalian species, the female raises her offspring with little or no contribution from the father beyond an initial ejaculation.

2.   Indeed, males usually give females no help in raising their offspring.

3.   It appeared obvious that the squirrels, woodpeckers, azaleas and all other living creatures were going about their business raising their offspring as nature intended.

4.   Eventually, biologists hope free-flying condors will be able to raise their offspring without human intervention.

5.   Most are relocated to wilderness areas or are sent to farms where their offspring are raised for meat and skin exports.
