1.   European investors are probing the Thai market with the idea of buying into local companies and privatised state enterprises.

2.   Increasingly, too, state enterprises are being privatised.

3.   The government is trying to confuse the public by saying that there are several ways of privatising state enterprises.

4.   The government will privatise state enterprises dealing in communications services.

5.   Seventy-three enterprises are being privatised, and officials say the exercise will continue even though it has so far cost the government some two million dollars.
