1.   After midnight Wednesday, Israeli planes reportedly bombed Palestinian Authority targets in Bethlehem, while the Israeli navy shelled them in the Gaza Strip.

2.   Radio station DZXL said the navy shelled a coastal area in Patikul and aircraft had blasted the place with rockets in preparation for the land sweep.

3.   The Israeli navy on Sunday shelled the coastal highway either side of this southern port wounding three people and leaving hundreds trapped, police and correspondents said.

4.   The Israeli navy also shelled for the first time another stretch of the coastal highway south between Sidon and Tyre.
