1.   A Chinese news service reported Wednesday that the navy was conducting mobilization exercises along the southern coast, across from Taiwan.

8.   The liberal Istanbul-based daily Yeni Yuzyil said Monday that Turkish and Israeli navies would conduct a joint naval exercise in the Mediterranean Sea in July.
