1.   BEFORE COMBING OUT nits, apply vinegar to hair and let sit a few minutes.

2.   Let sit until the fat separates from the juices.

3.   Ninety minutes before dinner, remove pork from the refrigerator and let sit at room temperature while you peel and halve the potatoes and place in a pot.

4.   Remove pot from heat and let sit covered for a minute.

5.   Sprinkle the gelatin over the top, let sit for a minute then warm over low heat until gelatin has been dissolved.

6.   Turn off the heat and let sit covered until ready to use.
