4.   Meanwhile, onshore breezes will draw moist air inland across Texas, producing scattered showers and thunderstorms.

5.   Winds from the east will draw moist air inland from the Gulf of Mexico and ascend the gently sloping terrain, yielding the cloudy skies and patchy showers.

6.   A strong jet stream carried moist air inland from a storm system approaching the West Coast.
