1.   Phase One will produce glucose while Phase Two is expected be involved in the production of glucose syrup.

2.   In Britain, the combined group would control about half the market for glucose syrup, a key ingredient of jams and soft drinks.

3.   The project includes setting up of a factory for the production of glucose syrup, maltose syrup and caramel.

4.   But the commission noted that British competition authorities reserved the right to assess the impact of the acquisition on the British market for glucose syrup.
