1.   After some initial sales from her Barbie collection, McKenna quit her job and now spends her spare time auctioning and buying Japanese fashion dolls and Asian comic books.

2.   Last month, Mattel introduced a set of talking fashion dolls, Diva Starz, designed to appeal to girls who say they have outgrown Barbie dolls.

3.   The doll, kept by Takara, was renamed Jenny and went on to become the second best-selling fashion doll in Japan.

4.   A collection of Queen Amidala fashion dolls also is for sale.

5.   There are also new lines with more modern themes, including the Yue Sai Wa Wa Asian fashion doll and the Get Real Girls.

6.   Through the years, the famous fashion doll has been an airline pilot, a fighter pilot and, finally, a space shuttle pilot.
