1.   Annuar added all divisional heads had fully agreed to allocate suitable positions to party members who could not contest for the top divisional post.

2.   Asked about the deputy divisional posts, Annuar said though the post could be contested, divisions were encouraged to also avoid contests for the post.

3.   Contests involving supreme council members bidding for other divisional posts are allowed.

4.   Contests for divisional chief posts in Kelantan would be permitted only if the incumbents quit.

5.   Datuk Yahaya Shafie retained the Ipoh Timur divisional chief post, beating Datuk Mohd Al Amin Abdul Majid.

6.   He said he had also asked candidates not accepting nominations to contest for divisional posts to give such undertaking but formally filling up forms rejecting the nominations.

7.   He clarified that while the supreme council did not encourage contests, it had never prohibited members from contesting the top three divisional posts.

8.   He said that as members of the Umno Youth grew older, they would definitely want to contest for divisional posts but not neccessarily the highest posts available.

9.   Kamaruddin, who is the Strategic Studies and Policy Research Institute chairman has made known his intention to contest the divisional top post.

10.   On the directive that supreme council members cannot vie for divisional chief posts, Dr Mahathir said it was a party decision.
