1.   Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat said the international community must cooperate to fight terrorism and promised Thursday to work more closely with the United States and Europe.

2.   President Hosni Mubarak was quoted Thursday as saying Egypt and Britain are cooperating to fight terrorism after the British government gave refuge to Egyptian Islamic radicals wanted at home.

3.   Earlier, fighting had raged between rebel Serbs and the Croatian and Bosnian armies, which have been cooperating to fight Serb rebellions in the two countries.

4.   Interior ministers from the two countries agreed to cooperate to fight drug trafficking and economic crimes, the ITAR-Tass news agency said.

9.   United Arab Emirates President Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan has told Bush that the Emirates is ready to cooperate to fight terrorism.
