1. A jet-stream disturbance rippling through the region will cause considerable cloudiness and passing showers across the interior. 2. Chilly air and considerable cloudiness will grip the Plains and east slopes of the Rockies. 3. However, considerable cloudiness will linger in parts of the eastern Great Lakes until afternoon. 4. In the Northwest, damp onshore breezes will produce considerable cloudiness with showers likely in western Washington and Oregon. 5. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will stream northward over the stationary front producing considerable cloudiness and patches of light rain in the Gulf States. 6. Over the U.S. Virgin Islands the skies varied from generally fair over St. Thomas and St. John to considerable cloudiness over St. Croix. 7. A stationary front just north of Puerto Rico will continue to produce considerable cloudiness with showers and isolated thunderstorms over the region. 8. A weak low-level trough will continue to produce considerable cloudiness over the Virgin Islands this morning. 9. A weak frontal trough nearby will continue to produce considerable cloudiness and scattered showers. 10. A weak surface trough located just south of the islands will continue to produce considerable cloudiness this afternoon. |
