1. Combine the flour, water, bay leaf and a generous pinch of salt in a saucepan. 2. Combine the flour with the baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. 3. For Crust, combine flour and granulated sugar in a medium bowl. 4. In a medium bowl, combine the flour with teaspoon salt. 5. In a shallow bowl or on a plate, combine the flour with the salt and pepper. 6. In another wide, shallow dish, combine the flour with the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. 7. When ready to assemble, combine flour with shortening until pea-size crumbs form. |
