1.   An exception will be in the Pacific Northwest where onshore winds cause showers in northern Washington.

2.   Another surge of cool air into the northern Rockies will cause showers from the Dakotas to Montana.

3.   A jet stream disturbance will cause showers in western areas of Washington and Oregon.

4.   A new cold front pushing inland from the Northwest will cause showers from the Cascades to the coast.

5.   A push of cooler air into the upper Plains will cause a few showers.

6.   A stream of Pacific moisture along the front will cause a few showers from western Montana to southern Oregon.

7.   A surge of cooler, moist air into the northern Rockies will cause showers from Montana to northeastern Nevada.

8.   A weakening cool front in the Northeast will cause a few showers in central and northern New England.

9.   Brisk winds from the northwest will drive very cold air across the western Great Lakes causing rain showers in Michigan and Wisconsin.

10.   Converging winds near a wavering front in the Carolinas will help cause heavier showers in the cool air over the Carolinas and southern Virginia on Tuesday afternoon.
