1.   A third of them settled in villages around Zakho, while the others received shelter in two UNHCR camps further southeast.

2.   In the past few years, several other refugee camps further north have been raided from across the border by armed intruders and in several instances razed.

3.   The DKBA took responsibility for attacks on several larger Karen refugee camps further north in late January, burning two of them to the ground.
