1.   Depending on how the other alliance bowls choose, the Fiesta might not even get to pick an at-large team such as ASU.

2.   Instead, the bowls will choose their participants on a rotating basis.

3.   Look for the athletic directors to allow bowls to choose their participants this season, then remain confined to conference standings thereafter.

4.   The bowl would probably choose between Oregon State and Virginia Tech for the at-large team to play Notre Dame.

5.   While Sun Bowl officials could not be reached for comment Friday night, Sun Bowl committee member John Folmer said this week his bowl would probably choose UCLA.
