1.   Both did it with the kind of general poised backcourt play which has become the calling card of just about every UMass game.

2.   Opportunistic backcourt play led to what may have been the pivotal play in the California-Penn game.

3.   Still undermanned in the middle, the Cavaliers have relied on the solid backcourt play of Terrell Brandon and Bobby Phills and a plethora of role players to succeed.

4.   The backcourt play seems to be the only vulnerable spot in the UMass game.
