A weak trough of low pressure just north of Puerto Rico will again produce thunderstorms and showers this afternoon ... . 3. An upper level trough of low pressure remains firmly planted across the northeast Caribbean today and will act to intensify developing showers this afternoon across the region into thunderstorms. 4. Doppler radar indicated that we can expect breaks in the clouds and showers this afternoon. 5. Increased moisture across the region will favor scattered showers this afternoon and even isolated thunderstorms. 6. Prefrontal trough over Hispaniola will affect coastal waters with widely scattered showers this afternoon. 7. Residual moisture and heating from the sun will produce more scattered showers this afternoon. 8. Satellite shows a large area of dry air which has expanded west and promises to greatly reduce the chances for showers this afternoon through Wednesday. 9. This will give an increased chance for showers this afternoon, but with chances slowly decreasing tonight and Thursday. 10. Western Puerto Rico may see widely scattered showers this afternoon. |
