61.   The latest shelling came as UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi failed to broker a ceasefire in talks with the rival sides in Cairo.

62.   The meeting, also announced by the French foreign ministry, will be the first since a four-month ceasefire was brokered in Bosnia-Hercegovina.
