31.   Much of the Midwest was bracing for severe weather early Saturday, as a front was forecast to bring scattered showers and storms to the area.

32.   Some of the strongest storms were forecast to bring heavy downpours, damaging winds and large hail.

33.   Southerly winds were forecast to bring moisture from the Gulf of Mexico into the Plains, sparking thunderstorms in Texas and Oklahoma.

34.   The front was forecast to bring wet weather to an area stretching from Massachusetts to Florida, and along the Gulf Coast to eastern Texas.

35.   The most severe storms in Montana, the Dakotas and Minnesota were forecast to bring large hail and damaging winds to the area.

36.   The same disturbance was forecast to bring similar snowfall amounts to parts of the northern Plains and upper Midwest.
