1.  The bloodshed had the effect of reviving the flagging intifada and also of highlighting in international terms the plight of the Palestinian people.

2.  The PLO immediately called for a UN Security Council session to discuss the Zionist crimes and urged Prez de Cuellar to intervene to protect the Palestinian people.

3.  Mitterrand had previously proposed a homeland or state-like structure for the Palestinian people.

4.  Significantly, Mubarak acknowledged that the PLO remained the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.

5.  The PLO failed to secure a UN-supervised peace conference to which it would send a delegation to represent the Palestinian people.

6.  The final communiqu condemned the Madrid conference as effecting the liquidation of the Palestinian people.

7.  An estimated two thousand protestors called for the end to what they called the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territory and Israeli aggression againt the Palestinian people.

8.  And he condemned Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, accusing him of fomenting suicide bomber attacks and of betraying the Palestinian people and their long quest for statehood.

9.  And Arafat and the Palestinian people better get to war with them as well.

10.  And the Palestinian people live in unproductive limbo.
