1.  The Pact would provide for the withdrawal of Soviet forces following the formation of a coalition government in Kabul.

2.  Hitler himself committed suicide as Soviet forces were closing in on Berlin.

3.  However, Soviet forces were still impressive and were being modernized across the whole spectrum.
