1.  To accommodate riders from the suspended trains, the railroad has combined some trains, added more cars on remaining trains and rescheduled additional stops.

2.  Frequencies of the few remaining transcontinental trains are being cut from daily to three to five times weekly under cutbacks announced this week.

3.  The remaining trains were to refitted in coming days.

4.  Two emergency workers suffered heat-related injuries after entering the tunnel to inspect the remaining train cars.
