1.  Lewis was knocked off the puck by the NHL front office when Andy VanHellemond was brought in to run the officiating department.

2.  Tagliabue also said that the league will probably expand its officiating department sometime soon.

3.  However, the competition committee, which reviews rules changes before the owners vote on them, tends to listen to officiating department in such cases.
