1.  Argentina has pledged to speed up the extradition to Italy of a former Nazi military captain, the Simon Wiesenthal Center said Monday.

2.  A military appeal court will rule early next month on allegations of misdemeanour levelled at a judge trying former Nazi captain Erich Priebke for war crimes.

3.  The former Nazi captain would normally have been released after four days unless the court of appeal upheld the decision to detain him.
