2.   Friction had existed between Marsden and Yeomans before their present disagreement, friends of the two astronomers said.

3.   The four astronomers provided recommendations on how to implement more efficient lighting to minimize the light pollution.

4.   The three astronomers have submitted a full report on their discovery to the Astrophysical Journal Letters.

5.   Pending possible publication, the two astronomers have refused to make any comment.
