1.   At dinner, we were rewarded with another delicious meal of prime rib, steamed artichokes, mashed potatoes, salad and strawberry cheesecake.

2.   After dining on steamed artichokes with lemon mayonnaise, chicken cordon bleu, green beans amandine and homemade garlic mashed potatoes, Byron declared his love that night.

3.   Fresh fava beans and freshly steamed artichokes are traditional for this dish.

4.   It is a much better bet than the mysteriously famous vinaigrette, a very ordinary dipping sauce served with a steamed artichoke.

5.   Nothing is more elegant as a first course than a steamed artichoke with a dipping sauce.

6.   Start with the jumbo steamed artichoke which arrives bathed in a buttery broth studded with sweet fresh rock shrimp and tomatoes.

7.   Whole steamed artichokes are an elegant first course.
