1.   Council president Abdul Karim Munisar said the static tanks were placed in housing areas and hawker centres to supplement tankers belonging to the council and Selangor Waterworks department.

2.   He added that so far the council had not set aside a fund for buying static tanks as the need to do so had not arisen.

3.   He said static tanks should be placed at strategic areas.

4.   He said the council will speed up the installation of static tanks in public places like schools and hawkers centres by the end of the week.

5.   Its residents association chairman Yahaya Jafri said the two static tanks placed at the flats were not equally filled.

6.   Mohd Idris said he hopes for more static tanks in the area and refills on a more regular basis.

7.   Mohd Wahid said the department also got help from other States such as Pahang with Johor supplying water tankers and static tanks for the residents facing water supply problems.

9.   THE Petaling Jaya Municipal Council will study the need for static tanks for areas not receiving water during the water rationing exercise.
