1.   Specialty metals such as stainless steel, silicon electric steel, alloys and tungsten still are produced in the area.

2.   Acesita sold Eletrometal to concentrate on the production of stainless and silicon steels, said Acesita president Wilson Nelio Brumer.

3.   Acesita, which is controlled by Brazilian pension funds, is the largest producer of stainless and high-grade silicon steels in South America.
