1. A few thunderstorms should develop from these clouds Thursday afternoon and winds aloft from the north will move the widely separated storms onto the Piedmont plateau. 2. Florida will notice only widely separated storms. 3. North Florida will notice frequent thunderstorms, but southern sections will only see widely separated storms. 4. Sea breezes will spark widely separated storms in Florida and the eastern Gulf Coast. 5. Widely separated storms will also flare from the Sierra Nevada of California to the southern Rockies as the uneven heating of mountains and valleys promotes rising currents of air. |
