1.   Run your dishwasher for full loads only.

2.   Run the dishwasher on the hottest possible setting.

3.   The idea is not about letting the utility company have you bake in your sweltering house, or making you wait until next Thursday to run the dishwasher.

4.   Wait until you have enough dirty dishes for a full load before running your dishwasher.
