1.   Chop remaining pecans medium-coarsely and sprinkle evenly over coconut.

2.   Place on wax paper-lined baking sheet and sprinkle tops with remaining pecans.

3.   Pour the batter into the prepared pan and scatter the remaining pecans on top.

4.   Serve on salad or dinner plates and sprinkle with remaining pecans and cherries.
