1.   Among the ideas that scholars and politicians have been debating are a rotating series of regional primaries, a national primary and primaries organized by time zone.

2.   Another alternative, one many big states prefer, would be rotating regional primaries, with a different bloc of states going first every four years.

3.   A regional primary would be different, particularly a region in which Arizona is a major player.

4.   A series of regional presidential primaries would be scheduled on the first Tuesday in March, April, May and June.
