2.   Standing arm in arm before the screen, the radiant soprano Karita Mattila as Fiordiligi and the dusky-toned mezzo-soprano Vesselina Kasarova sang the duet incomparably.

3.   The radiant soprano Jayne West and the stentorian baritone James Maddalena were superb soloists.

4.   The radiant soprano Juliana Rambaldi was the vulnerable Catherine, who learns too late that Eddie will baby her as long as she acts like a baby.
