1. I use prepared horseradish for my sauce because it works fine. 2. Most pit beef places serve bottled prepared horseradish, but Schafer makes his own sauce, a rich, creamy confection of horseradish and mayonnaise. 3. My own contribution to the recipe was a spoonful of prepared horseradish for more bite. 4. Prepared horseradish or mayonnaise seasoned with horseradish. 5. Prepared horseradish is not as good because it is made with vinegar. 6. When time is really short, whip up a combination of sour cream, prepared horseradish and Dijon-mustard to serve with beef or chicken. |
