2.   Presbyterians, Lutherans and Episcopalians have been embroiled in controversy over recent moves to bless homosexual marriages and ordain practicing gays and lesbians to the ministry.

3.   The church also bans church blessing for gay unions and prohibits practicing gays from ordination.

4.   The church also maintained prohibitions against the ordination of practicing gays and lesbians and the blessing of same-sex unions.

5.   Thus, Presbyterians prohibited ordaining practicing gays.
