1.   An American peacekeeping soldier was wounded and required stitches after Serbs attacked military policemen investigating an explosion in the village of Vrbovac in southern Kosovo.

2.   And the first wave of the actual peacekeeping soldiers may not reach the area until well after Christmas.

3.   Bosnian government troops in Gorazde, preparing their defenses, have seized four armored vehicles and some weapons from Ukrainian peacekeeping soldiers, U.N. officials said.

4.   Absent civilian police, judges, prosecutors and civilian administrators, NATO peacekeeping soldiers have reluctantly filled those roles.

5.   Clearly it would be unfair to give such a medal only to present and future peacekeeping soldiers.

6.   Far from falling back, the Bosnian Serbs have heavily shelled areas including Sarajevo, where they killed two French peacekeeping soldiers Saturday night.

7.   It has agreed to station peacekeeping soldiers on the Golan Heights as of February, as part of the United Nations forces already there.

8.   None of the countries providing peacekeeping soldiers to the U.N. force in Bosnia can get out unless all of them agree to a humiliating withdrawal in failure.

9.   On Friday the U.N. Security Council strengthened the mandate of the peacekeeping soldiers in Sierra Leone, authorizing them to go after the guerrillas in a forceful way.

10.   Over the next two years, the countries that make up the United Nations ordered the peacekeeping soldiers to tilt more toward the Bosnian side.
