1.   Opposition rebels attacked an Interior Ministry building in Tajikistan early Monday, killing two policemen and kidnapping four, officials said.

2.   Opposition rebels on Tuesday accused the government of confiscating food and cattle from civilians and appealed for international help for residents of central Tajikistan.

3.   Tajik government forces launched a major offensive Thursday and regained full control of a central region from opposition Islamic rebels, news report said.
