1.   All of this explains why I was so taken by the noodle cakes I saw in a Chinese restaurant years ago.

2.   Moving quickly, you can put together both noodle cake and vegetables in less than an hour.

3.   To serve, place a wedge of noodle cake on a plate with some of the stew alongside.
