1.   Federal law enforcement officials said they still could not explain how the man they believe was the mail bomber would have selected his victims.

2.   Federal officials said they did not believe there was a connection between the mail bomber and the explosion in Oklahoma City.

3.   The mail bomber always used stamps, not metered postage, presumably to avoid having to deal with a post office clerk.

4.   The federal human rights commission has contacted all past and present staff believed endangered by a mail bomber targeting tax office and commission workers, it said Thursday.
