1.   Elsewhere, lingering moisture will combine with vigorous daytime heating to cause scattered afternoon thunderstorms over much of the Rockies.

2.   Farther east, lingering moisture pooling along a slow-moving front will promote scattered showers and thunderstorms in Georgia and the Carolinas.

3.   Farther north, lingering moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere will produce clouds and chilly showers over the northern Plains.

4.   Lingering moisture and unseasonably cold air will combine to cause a broken area of snow, ice and rain over Oklahoma and northern Texas on Wednesday.

5.   Lingering moisture in the lower parts of the atmosphere will cause light snow showers in the northern Appalachians and western New England mountains.

6.   Lingering moisture in western Texas will spread into Kansas in the form of showers.

7.   Meanwhile, lingering moisture will cause clouds and spotty thunderstorms over Florida.

8.   However, enough lingering moisture remained to generate scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon, especially across the northwest third of Puerto Rico.
