1.   Heavy rain is expected at the coast from Virginia to northeastern New Jersey with lighter rain inland.

2.   Lighter rain will fall along the Oregon coast while offshore winds keep most of Washington dry with some sunshine.

3.   Lighter rain will precede the front farther north and inland.

4.   Lighter rain will spread east of the Cascades Tuesday and Wednesday.

5.   Lighter rain will move quickly into the interior Northeast.

6.   Lighter rain will dampen the Dakotas and lower parts of Wyoming.

7.   On the northern flank of the system, broken areas of generally lighter rains will spread slowly but inexorably from the lower Mississippi Valley toward the southern Appalachians.

8.   Onshore winds will prompt patchy lighter rain in northern California.

9.   Patchy clouds and lighter rain showers will speckle the lowlands of the interior West.

10.   Patches of lighter rain are anticipated elsewhere in the Northwest.
