1.   Abu Hassan who is the State Umno liaison chairman said it saddened him to know that there were people who resorted to money politics for personal gains.

2.   Also present were Health Minister Datuk Chua Jui Meng, who is also State MCA liaison committee chairman, and Deputy Home Minister Datuk Ong Ka Ting.

3.   Chief Minister Datuk Seri Abu Zahar Isnin, who is also the State Umno liaison committee chairman, said there was a need to maintain party stability and unity.

4.   Dr Mahathir is also the State Umno liaison chairman.

5.   Osu is the Sabah Umno liaison committee chairman, MP for Papar as well as the Kawang State Assemblyman.

6.   Shahidan, also State Umno liaison committee chairman, hoped the reminder would help stop incumbents and aspiring candidates from going overboard.

7.   State MIC liaison committee chairman Datuk G. Rajoo said internal party problems should be resolved from within and through proper channels.
