1.   Among the better-known brand-name jerk baits today are the Bomber Long A, Cordell Red Fin and Storm Thunderstick.

2.   Bitter said he likes the jerk bait because it can be worked in one area for a long time before being moved back toward the boat.

3.   Jerk baits have existed for many years, but only within the past five or six years have they really caught on.

4.   Soft jerk baits, such as the Slug-Go, also have been good.
