1.   Arthur and Dr. Steve Buttgenbach placed the injured leg in ice and applied a stout cotton and elastic bandage to immobilize the leg.

2.   After eight months in a coma, she awoke with head injuries that immobilized her legs and skewed her balance and muscular control.

3.   Doctors drove four -inch pins into the femur and tibia, then attached the pins to a metal contraption that immobilized his leg.

4.   He was taken to a Belgian hospital, and the leg was immobilized in plaster.

5.   His leg has been immobilized just below the knee to help the fracture to heal.
