5.   But what distinguishes honor killings in the Arab world is that they are seen less as crimes of passion than as inherently just.

6.   Earlier this month the U.N. passed its first resolution condemning honor killings.

7.   Earlier this year, she won the Reebok Award for Human Rights for uncovering honor killings.

8.   Honor killings are most common in poor, rural areas.

9.   Honor killings are not committed by Arab Muslims alone.
