1.   Symptoms include seizures, skeletal and heart muscle weakness, kidney disease, and growth and development delays.

2.   If not attended it results in heart weakness and death.

3.   If not attended, it results in heart weakness and could be fatal.

4.   The disease causes flu-like symptoms, rashes and fever, and if not attended leads to heart weakness and death.

5.   The case of death was not announced, but McGeown had suffered from a chronic heart weakness which his family attributed to the damage from the hunger strike.
