The trailing runners of the squash have long stems, tendrils like pea shoots, tiny buds and small green leaves. 5. Unhealthy plants may be lopsided, have weak stems or have insects. 6. When buying out-of-season tomatoes it is critical that you buy the ones that have stems. 7. The modern versions can grow far larger and have tougher stems. |
