1.   Arabica is the higher grade coffee that is favored by exporters.

2.   Colombia produces the higher grade arabica coffee preferred by many U.S. consumers.

3.   While much of that coffee is not exportable, it would ease a tight supply situation domestically and free up higher grade coffee for export.

4.   Its high grade coffee is exported to Japan and to the United States.
