1.   In addition to holding lectures, gem shows and mineral auctions, the New York Mineralogical Club leads collecting trips to mineral hot spots throughout the metropolitan area.

2.   People representing tanzanite mines and sales attended the gem show, but were disappointed when they were denied access to the meeting.

3.   Australian, Japanese and other foreigners attended the gem show in Colombo that ended Thursday.

4.   Previously an annual event, the gem show is now being held at least twice a year.
